I've always lived in the east end of Glasgow - Parkhead, Ruchazie, Dennistoun, Budhill, at present Sandyhills.

Since joining the history group I have discovered that other people in the group have either lived in the same street or had connections in other ways.

Alex, Cathy, and myself all lived in Carntyne Road although Cathy and myself have been friends for years and knew about this connection, it was only when we started talking about the Hurricane in 1968 that we discovered Alex lived there as well. My connection with Veronica came about when I started talking about my Aunt Margaret who lived in Shettleston Road that I discovered that Veronica’s Mum and my Aunt Margaret were best friends. As I spent lots of time with Aunt Margaret its very possible that I would have met Veronica at some point in the past.

I also enjoy drawing and painting - I attend art classes at Eastbank. The following piece is a ferry arriving at Rothesay Pier - somewhere I used to visit a lot for my holidays. It was done using chalks.
